UPSC Recruitment 2025 – Selection Process

Minimum marks in interview have been fixed for various posts of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). These marks are required for candidates of all categories, whether the selection is based on interview only or on the basis of Recruitment Test followed by interview.

  • UR/EWS: Minimum 50 marks
  • OBC: Minimum 45 marks
  • SC/ST/PwBD: Minimum 40 marks

If the selection is through Recruitment Test followed by interview, it is mandatory for the candidate to secure the minimum marks of his/her respective category in the interview stage.

UPSC Recruitment 2025 – Application Fee

The prescribed application fee for applying to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is ₹25/-. This fee is applicable to candidates of all categories, except those who are female candidates, SC/ST candidates and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD). These candidates are completely exempted from fee payment.

Candidates have several options available to pay the application fee. They can pay this fee by depositing cash in any SBI branch, using the net banking facility of any bank, or online through Visa / Master / Rupay / Credit / Debit Card / UPI.
