The Madhya Pradesh Police Department has announced recruitment for 500 posts of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) and Subedar. The Employee Selection Board (ESB), Bhopal, issued the official notification, and the application window will remain open from 3rd to 17th October 2025.
How to Apply
Candidates can submit their applications online through the official ESB website – esb.mp.gov.in. The process will close on 17th October, so applicants are advised not to wait until the last day.
Selection Procedure
The selection will be based on a written examination, followed by document verification for those who qualify. The exam is scheduled for 10th December 2025, to be conducted in two shifts across several cities including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Sidhi, Ratlam, Khandwa, Neemuch, and Ujjain.
Eligibility Criteria
For Subedar:
- Must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board.
- Should hold a Polytechnic/ITI qualification or shorthand certification.
- CPCT certificate with Hindi typing is required.
- A diploma in computer applications is also mandatory.
For Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI):
- Should have passed Class 10 or 12.
- Must possess a CPCT certificate with Hindi typing skills.
- A one-year certificate in computer operation/programming is required.
Age Requirements
The minimum age is 18 years, while the upper age limit varies:
- Unreserved male candidates: 33 years
- Women (all categories): 38 years
- SC/ST/OBC men: 38 years
- Women from inter-caste marriages and Vikram Award winners: up to 43 years
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹500
- SC/ST/PWD: ₹250

Salary Structure
- Subedar (Stenographer): ₹36,200 – ₹1,14,800 per month
- ASI (Stenographer): ₹19,500 – ₹62,000 per month
Additional allowances approved by the state government will also be provided.
