On March 20, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will start the online registration procedure for Kendriya Vidyalaya Balvatika 2026-27 admissions. The KVS admission announcement says that parents and guardians must sign up on the online admissions portal at admission.kvs.gov.in. The process is based on a lottery mechanism, therefore there is no requirement for a written test or interview for class 1. After the lottery is over and the results are announced, the chosen candidates must provide the relevant documents to their Kendriya Vidyalayas and pay the required entrance fee to confirm their admission.
The method makes sure that the selection process is fair and that parents have to register and do what they need to do after the results are published. After the list, parents can pay the tuition and send in the necessary papers.
Who can apply:
• The youngster must be at least 6 years old by March 31 of the school year.
• The youngster must be less than 8 years old on the same date.
• A child born on April 1 is also eligible.
• Children with special needs (CWSN) may be able to rest for up to two years.
How to Apply
• Go to the official website: kvsangathan.nic.in
• Click on “Register New.”
• Fill out the required information about the child and their parents.
• A registration number or login code will be made.
• Use the information given to log in.
• Choose up to three Kendriya Vidyalayas that you like best.
• Upload all the necessary files.
• Send in the application form.
• Print off the form you sent in and the confirmation receipt for your records.
Policy for Reservations
• Each Class 1 section has 40 seats and a set reservation system.
• 10 seats (25%) are set aside for those with the Right to Education (RTE).
• There are 6 seats (15%) set aside for Scheduled Castes (SC).
• 3 seats (7.5 percent) are set aside for Scheduled Tribes (ST).
• There are 11 seats (27%) set aside for OBC Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) students.
• Children with Special Needs (CwSN) get 3% of the total number of seats.
Criteria for Priority
Parents’ service categories, such as Central Government employees, Armed Forces personnel, State Government employees, and employees of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and autonomous bodies, are used to further prioritise admissions.
